Southbound - Episode 1: Crabs and Climbing Mountains in Homer, Alaska

Peter and Kathy Holcombe made it to the top of North America in Deadhorse, AK, on the Dalton Highway in their Winnebago Revel 4x4 Sprinter van. This was a turning point in direction for their travels. It's southbound from here - all the way to Ushuaia, Argentina, on a Pan-American traverse. This episode is their first stop going Southbound as they return to Homer, Alaska, for more exploring. They find fresh Dungeness crab at the marina and have a van life feast. Then, they set off on Grace Ridge in Kachemak Bay State Park. This is a wild hike on a beautiful peninsula with endless views, and even looking down on leaping whales and fishing bears. This is the premier hike in the Homer area.
